Speaking of Onda, it may now make many people feel a little unfamiliar. But in fact, this 36 year old brand has never exited the market. In addition to traditional graphics card and motherboard businesses, it has already expanded its product line to include laptops, tablets, all-in-one computers, and even multiple fields such as smart bracelets, smartwatches, and VR devices.
On the occasion of the upcoming one-year anniversary of the RTX 50 series, NVIDIA has finally launched its first graphics card of the series, targeting the entry-level market directly – the RTX 5050. This product has a relatively basic configuration and few highlights. Even more surprisingly, its official display page is almost blank and the parameter information is extremely brief.
In terms of appearance, the graphics card adopts a dual fan design, which is compact overall with a length of 227 millimeters. It is mainly black in color and decorated with green lines, with a simple style. In terms of core configuration, it is equipped with GB207 chip, 2560 CUDA cores, acceleration frequency range of 2310 to 2570MHz, and paired with 8GB GDDR6 video memory with a width of 128 bits. In terms of output interfaces, three DP 2.1b and one HDMI 2.1b interfaces are provided to meet basic multi screen and high bandwidth display requirements. Given its positioning, it is expected that the selling price will remain at a relatively affordable level.
Looking back at the RTX 40 series, the product layout of Angda was relatively complete, covering multiple levels except for the top-level models RTX 4090 and 4090D, and even more comprehensive than its lineup during the RTX 30 series – at that time, the highest was only launched up to RTX 3060 Ti. In the AMD camp, there is currently no follow-up on the latest RX 9000 series, and the previous generation products only reached the RX 7600.
In terms of motherboard product line, Intel platform already supports high-end chipsets such as Z890 and Z790, while AMD platform mainly focuses on B650 and B550, which have not yet been updated to the latest B850 chipset.
