DJI announces the launch of the new DJI Mini 4 Pro, bringing a new camera drone to amateur drone pilots and videographers. The DJI Mini 4 Pro is the successor to its 22 year model, but it has more versatility and advanced technology in shooting than before, while maintaining its 249 gram body.
The DJI Mini 4 Pro uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, but includes a new image processing platform with dual native ISO fusion. The latter technique combines shooting at different ISO levels to achieve good details and dynamic range.
The DHI Mini 4 Pro is shot at 48 million pixels using a 4-in-1 quad Bayer pixel merge, with a pixel size of 2.4 μ m, above its f/1.7 aperture. You will receive 4K60FPS HDR video recording, 4K100FPS slow motion shooting, clearer night shooting video mode, and enhanced drone capabilities.
The drone now also offers true vertical shooting, optimizing your recording for use on social media platforms and smartphone viewing. It also has a 60 ° large angle tilt, providing greater shooting flexibility. In addition to digital video zoom, it can also enlarge photos (2x) and videos (4x).
For true professionals, the DJI Mini 4 Pro has 10 bit D-Log M recording capabilities on top of 48MP RAW, which can meet post production needs.
LightCut is an application based DJI Mini 4 Pro material editing software that combines several proprietary drone shooting techniques into an impressive aerial lens. It can handle clips from ActiveTrack, MasterShots (motion templates for shooting), and QuickShots (fancy aerial movements for more shots).
The DJI Mini 4 Pro now offers omnidirectional obstacle sensing and APAS 5.0 (Advanced Pilot Assistance System). These provide automatic braking and obstacle avoidance for the flight capability of drones, allowing them to avoid obstacles from various angles. It also comes with a built-in return system, so the drone can find its way back to you when the battery is low.
According to DJI, the Mini 4 Pro has a flight time of 34 minutes, and you can choose to increase it to 45 minutes using its Smart Flight Battery Plus add-on.
