Former DJI core R&D personnel Goding has devoted himself to entrepreneurship, focusing on the field of outdoor intelligent vehicles and establishing the company “Wilderness Innovation”.
It is reported that Wilderness Innovation has completed a seed round of financing. The first round of investors are Shunwei Capital and Yuanjing Capital (founded by Alibaba co-founder and Alibaba Mama CEO Wu Yongming), with Yunmu Capital also investing. The company’s first round valuation has already exceeded 100 million yuan. The second angel round is underway, led by a well-known US dollar fund.
Goding comes from a research and development background. He worked in the flight control department of DJI in the early days and later joined a robotic vacuum cleaner company as the head of the obstacle avoidance algorithm and planning control department.
He himself is an outdoor enthusiast, and his founded Wilderness Innovation is committed to creating electric and intelligent outdoor sports products, with a focus on integrating AI functions and emphasizing technology integration and user experience.
From the perspective of market layout, Wilderness Innovation targets overseas markets. Goding and his team hope to take this opportunity to drive products with technology and open up a new era in the field of intelligent outdoor tools.
