JD’s world’s first intelligent logistics robot super factory landed in Wuxi

On November 8, it was reported that according to the “Wuxi Release” WeChat official account, the Jingdong Wolf Robot Global Smart Factory project was officially launched in Wuxi recently.

This project will build JD’s world’s first intelligent logistics robot super factory, achieving full process intelligence from core component production to robot body assembly, and software system integration. After completion, it will become one of JD’s largest and most automated robot production bases.

Since the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement and the establishment of a collaborative project promotion mechanism in 2021, JD Logistics, JD Retail, JD Technology, JD Production and Development, JD International and other business lines under JD Group have settled in Wuxi, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan in 11 projects including JD Outlet’s national first store and JD (Wuxi) cross-border industrial complex.

The intelligent wolf goods to people system independently developed by JD Logistics has entered a new stage of national scale replication and application after successfully responding to the practical tests of e-commerce promotion peaks such as JD 618 and JD 11.11.

At present, the system has been deployed in various types of warehouses in core cities such as Beijing, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. The application of Zhilang has greatly improved the efficiency of warehouse operations, and picking can be completed in seconds in warehouses with tens of thousands of SKUs.

The Zhilang Cargo to Person System is an efficient intelligent warehousing solution created by JD Logistics. It integrates core components such as Zhilang handling robots, Zhilang flying ladder robots, and three-dimensional shelves, as well as auxiliary facilities such as automatic warehousing and picking workstations, and empty box automatic return lines. It can fully utilize the 12 meter clearance of the warehouse to achieve high-density storage.

Just last month, JD Logistics released three “Wolf Clan” robots for the first time, including the Smart Wolf Extended Edition, Sirius Four Way Car, and Automatic Distribution Wall (end-to-end version), joining JD Logistics’ robot army.
