On November 8th, according to MacRumors, JPMorgan’s latest research report shows that all flagship models of Apple’s next-generation iPhone 18 series will be equipped with a 24 megapixel front facing camera, which is an improvement from the 18 megapixel camera of the iPhone 17 series.

Previously, multiple sources speculated that all iPhone 17 models would be equipped with a 24 megapixel front facing camera, but it ultimately did not materialize.
According to foreign media, if this report is true, upgrading to 24 million pixels will undoubtedly be very noteworthy. This means that iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, the new generation iPhone Air, and Apple’s first foldable iPhone will be able to take clearer and more detailed selfies, and improve the accuracy of portrait mode.
JPMorgan’s report also mentioned that Apple’s foldable iPhone will be equipped with the industry’s first 24 megapixel under screen camera, which is integrated into the device’s internal screen. Meanwhile, according to reports, the entry-level iPhone 17e and iPhone 18e will continue to use a 12 megapixel front facing camera.
