Former Xiaomi executive Cui Baoqiu enters the home service robot market, with multiple top venture capitalists competing

Former Xiaomi executive Cui Baoqiu has officially started laying out the entrepreneurship of home service robots.

Cui Baoqiu explicitly mentioned at the 2019 China Artificial Intelligence Summit that “Xiaomi’s first strategy is AIoT”, which is closely related to the smart home scene, and home service robots are further evolved on this basis.

Insiders revealed that Cui Baoqiu has been in contact with several top VC firms and the financing has been smooth.

Before joining Xiaomi, Cui Baoqiu was responsible for research and development at well-known companies such as IBM, Yahoo, and LinkedIn, with profound technical and management experience. In 2012, he was invited by Lei Jun to return to China and became the Chief Architect of Xiaomi. He successively held important roles such as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Platform, Chairman of the Group Technical Committee, and General Manager of the Group Learning and Development Department. He led the promotion of Xiaomi’s “CBA” (Cloud Computing Big Data Artificial Intelligence) technology roadmap transformation, laying the foundation for the group’s technology system.

At the end of 2022, Cui Baoqiu left Xiaomi due to personal reasons, ending his ten-year career at Xiaomi.

With long-term accumulated technology, industry experience, and top capital support, Cui Baoqiu’s team deserves high attention in the field of intelligent home robots in the future.
