no, that's very unusual. walk into any coffee shop, store, church, office, gas station, anywhere, and there will be a restroom available that you can use for free
美国基本上所有的公共厕所都是免费的, 而且绝大部分也设施设备齐全, 不过也有些店铺啥的要求你先买点东西然后才能用他们店里的厕所, 这么做为了防止个别群体在里面吸毒破坏东西. 另外一个问题就是虽然这边是免费使用, 不过卫生方面就不好说了, 尤其那些荒郊野外鸟不拉屎的地方的公厕, 味道太爽了
