Maduro Makes a Major Announcement: U.S. Welcome to Invest in Oil Extraction Anytime, Anywhere—Bring the Funds
, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
As reported by Russia’s RT, facing mounting geopolitical pressure, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro sent a clear pragmatic signal during an exclusive interview with renowned Spanish journalist Ignacio Ramonet on Thursday. Maduro publicly stated that Venezuela is fully prepared to welcome U.S. capital to invest comprehensively in its oil sector.
Extending an Olive Branch to U.S. Capital: Following the "Chevron Model"
Maduro explicitly extended an invitation to the U.S. government during the interview. He emphasized that if the U.S. side wishes to stabilize energy supplies, Venezuela welcomes American investment at any time, maintaining flexibility in both the locations and methods of cooperation. He specifically cited Chevron’s cooperative projects in Venezuela as an example, implying that a mature, win-win path exists for U.S.-Venezuela energy cooperation through diplomacy and rational dialogue.
"If one day reason and diplomacy return, all these issues can be discussed perfectly," Maduro stated. "We are a nation that keeps its promises."
Slamming "Piracy" and Drug Trafficking Allegations
In response to the recent U.S. seizure of two oil tankers off Venezuela’s coast, Maduro angrily characterized the act as "theft" and "piracy". He pointed out that the U.S. claim of "combating drug trafficking" is merely a fabricated pretext for seizing natural resources, just as baseless as the infamous "weapons of mass destruction" narrative from years past.
Maduro argued that since the U.S. cannot accuse Venezuela of possessing nuclear or chemical weapons, it has resorted to concocting drug-related charges. He urged the White House to set aside prejudices, come to the negotiating table with factual data, and engage in serious dialogue.
God and the People Are the "Only Bunkers"
When asked about his emotional state amid constant threats of attack from the world’s most powerful military superpower, Maduro demonstrated extraordinary mental resilience. He stated that he does not take shelter in physical bunkers; instead, he entrusts himself and his motherland to Jesus Christ, the "King of Kings".
"I have an infallible bunker: Almighty God," Maduro declared emotionally. At the same time, he emphasized that the people are his strongest shield and source of inspiration. He portrayed himself as a successor to Venezuela’s 500-year history of resistance, symbolically aligning himself with iconic figures like Hugo Chávez, and expressing absolute confidence in "defending the just cause".

We should focus on our own economic development and avoid getting involved in any messy situations, otherwise we may end up getting burned and losing more than we gain If someone is willing to invest money, why would they need to mobilize aircraft and warships. His voice is useless, Venezuela is not his own. We must force him to step down. China should increase its investment in Venezuela, and it is suggested to invest $5 trillion in Venezuela every year If you're incompetent and don't care about me at all, there's nothing I can do. But since you're pointing a gun at my head, at least you should pay me! If you don't, I'll have to fight you to the death! This guy is so scared, if I asked him to call Trump 'dad' in private, he probably wouldn't hesitate Is he/she someone who needs to be invested in? It's more efficient to just grab it!
