Recently, according to South Korean media, well-known Korean film actress Kim Ji mi passed away in the United States on the 10th at the age of 85.

Kim Ji mi was born in Daedeok gun, Chungcheongnam do in 1940. She made her debut in 1957 with the famous director Kim Ki yong's film "Twilight Train" and became a superstar in the Korean film industry in the 1970s and 1980s. She won the Best Actress Award at the Panama International Film Festival and the Best Actress Award at the Daejung Awards in South Korea for her performances in "Land" (1974) and "Farewell Tears" (1985), respectively. She has appeared in over 700 films. In 2010, she was inducted into the Korean Film Hall of Fame as the "Most Gorgeous Actress".

The Korean Film Association plans to hold a film funeral for Kim Ji mi.
