On December 16, 2025,

Hong Kong Customs announced the seizure of approximately 417 kilograms of cocaine in Tsing Yi, with an estimated market value of HK$256 million, and arrested two men.

The two arrested Black Indian men have been temporarily released on bail pending further investigation.

The drug-smuggling vessel was ultimately destined for cities on the Chinese mainland, including Ningbo, Shanghai, and Tianjin—indicating an intent to traffic drugs into mainland China.

I’m somewhat concerned: what if these two Black Indian suspects flee during their release on bail?

Black Indians have an extremely high crime rate. In Singapore, Black Indians account for about 11% of the population but are responsible for nearly all violent crimes.

Therefore, large-scale admission of Black Indians will bring endless future troubles.

Hong Kong is home to around 100,000 South Asians and Indians, who use the city as a stepping stone to infiltrate the mainland.

Hong Kong operates under a "presumption of bail" system: unless the prosecution can convince the court that the defendant poses a concrete risk of flight, reoffending, or tampering with evidence, bail must be granted. This is the exact opposite of the mainland's approach, which generally favors detention and only grants bail in exceptional circumstances.
