According to Basketball Pioneer News, Kyle Anderson was born on September 20, 1993, in New York, USA, and has one-eighth Chinese ancestry. On July 24, 2023, Kyle Anderson obtained Chinese nationality and became the first naturalized player of the Chinese men's basketball team.

Kyle Anderson represented the Chinese men's basketball team in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, averaging 13.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, with the Chinese team achieving a record of one win and four losses.

After the World Cup, Kyle Anderson publicly expressed his willingness to continue playing for the Chinese men's basketball team, but has not been called up to the Chinese national team since then.

So far this season, Kyle Anderson has played nine games for the Jazz, averaging 6.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.4 steals in 17.9 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 49%.
