The AI smartphone market is welcoming a landmark new hardware: Nubia NaviX Ultra, also known as Doubao Phone Gen2, has officially obtained MIIT network access license in China. This milestone completes its full compliance process from large‑model filing to terminal certification, moving the world’s first AI Agent smartphone from concept verification toward mass commercial availability. The flagship device is scheduled to hit retail shelves in September.

Back on July 16, Nubia first unveiled this upcoming flagship. Official teaser visuals confirm four color options: black, pink, white and blue. Two variants feature a striking orange‑colored physical AI shortcut key for quick AI access, bringing strong visual personality. Its camera module adopts a distinctive design different from most mainstream Android phones. Sunny Optical supplies the camera hardware for this device, laying a solid foundation for photography performance.

What sets Nubia NaviX Ultra apart from ordinary AI‑enabled phones lies in its built‑in Doubao Phone Assistant and native AI‑Agent capability. It is listed among seven mobile‑side generative AI services approved by China’s Cyberspace Administration. Other filed services include Apple Intelligence, Huawei Xiaoyi, Vivo Lanxin and Xiaomi Pengpai. After official filing, Nubia delivers the world’s first commercially available smartphone built around AI‑Agent technology.

Conventional phone‑based AI mostly handles isolated tasks such as chatbot replies or image generation. An AI Agent can understand user goals and automatically chain multiple apps to finish complex workflows. This capability represents the next major evolution for consumer smartphones. Deep‑integrated Doubao large‑model runs on the device layer, enabling the handset to act beyond simple command‑response interactions.

Positioned as a mass‑produced flagship, Nubia NaviX Ultra will reach consumers very soon. Varied color choices cover diverse user preferences. The dedicated orange AI button offers one‑tap access to Agent functions. Supported by Sunny Optical imaging hardware, it also promises solid daily camera performance.

Major brands are racing to deploy on‑device artificial intelligence. Competition has shifted from basic chat features toward real‑world Agent execution experience. As the first mass‑produced AI Agent smartphone globally, Nubia NaviX Ultra will set an important reference for next‑generation mobile experience. Tech enthusiasts are looking forward to its real‑world performance after the September launch.
