After launching the small and large wide foldable phones Pura X and Pura X Max, Huawei has officially unveiled the world’s first wide flat smartphone — Huawei Pura X View. This new form factor is not a simple product iteration, but a response to massive user demands. Many users love the ultra-wide visual experience of wide-screen devices but dislike foldable phones’ high premium, crease defects and high maintenance costs. The arrival of Pura X View perfectly fills this market gap, bringing a brand-new flat-phone experience with mature hardware and software optimization.

Different from the ultra-wide proportion of foldable wide-screen models, the Huawei Pura X View adopts a unique 16:9.5 screen ratio. It abandons the narrow and long visual sense of traditional 20:9 flat phones and avoids the too-square look of 4:3 and 16:10 screens. It retains the core advantage of a wide field of vision while moderately narrowing the body width, greatly improving single-hand grip comfort. The actual body size is 144mm × 87mm, shorter and wider than mainstream long and narrow flagship phones, bringing a completely different holding experience.

The biggest highlight of this device is the perfect combination of ultra-thin body and ultra-long battery life. With a thickness of only 6.68mm and a weight of 201g, it is thinner and lighter than most flagship smartphones on the market. Surprisingly, it is equipped with a built-in 7000mAh large battery, setting a new battery capacity record for Huawei flat flagship phones. It easily supports all-day light use and completely eliminates battery anxiety for heavy users. In terms of appearance details, it features 1.05mm ultra-narrow equal-width bezels and an ultra-high screen-to-body ratio of 96.1%, delivering an immersive full-screen visual effect. The polished metal middle frame integrates a side fingerprint unlock module for fast and safe unlocking. Although it only has a bottom speaker opening, it supports symmetrical stereo sound, bringing an excellent audio-visual experience. The back adopts a 3D grating glass process and a runway-shaped camera deco, and the Zero White color matches delicate texture, achieving a high-grade hand feel and recognition.

Equipped with the newly launched HarmonyOS 7.0 system, the phone brings comprehensive upgrades in visual effects and interactive experience. The traditional black bottom menu bar is upgraded to a transparent glass light effect, making the system interface more transparent and advanced. Most mainstream apps have completed in-depth adaptation. Short video platforms such as Douyin and Xiaohongshu support full-screen immersive playback without black borders. Xiaohongshu supports a flexible layout switch, displaying two columns by default and three columns with a pinch gesture, greatly improving browsing efficiency. For novel reading and office document processing, the wide screen shows more text and table content, reducing frequent screen sliding and bringing a tablet-like efficient office experience on a mobile phone.

In terms of gaming adaptation, mainstream mobile games including Honor of Kings, Delta Force, League of Legends Mobile and Happy Match are fully optimized with full-screen display and no stretching or black borders. Honor of Kings supports 120fps high frame rate mode, with a wider vertical field of view for better combat vision. After three consecutive rounds of high-load games, the body only generates slight heat, with excellent temperature control and stable performance output without frequency reduction and stuttering. All games run smoothly, and the wide screen brings a more comfortable operating vision and gaming experience.

In terms of imaging, the Huawei Pura X View does not make compromises for a thin body. It is equipped with a 200MP ultra-large bottom RYYB main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom, and a second-generation Maple Original Color camera. This flagship-level imaging configuration restores true and natural colors with the help of XMAGE imaging technology, personalized color cards and AI intelligent composition. The main camera delivers clear and delicate details in daylight, and the RYYB sensor ensures clean and bright night scene performance with excellent highlight suppression. The telephoto lens performs well in long-distance shooting, with only slight noise in low-light night scenes. It supports multiple shooting styles, and the black-and-white mode can easily create advanced photographic effects.

Overall, the Huawei Pura X View is a practical and sincere flagship product rather than a gimmick prototype. It inherits the core wide-screen advantages of Huawei’s wide-form devices, optimizes grip and portability through size adjustment, and achieves ultra-long battery life without sacrificing imaging and performance. The wide flat form factor requires strong ecological adaptation capabilities and industry influence, which is why only Huawei can promote and mass-produce this new form factor. With balanced configuration, mature software adaptation and innovative appearance, the Huawei Pura X View is expected to lead the new trend of flat flagship phones and become a popular mainstream model in the market.
