The White House’s Youngest Spokesperson Shares New Year's Eve Private Photos: 28-Year-Old Levitt and 60-Year-Old Billionaire Husband Make Rare Joint Appearance
Karoline Leavitt, 28, the White House Press Secretary, showed her fans how she spent her Christmas vacation with family, while also sharing intimate moments with her 60-year-old husband Nicolas Rios.
According to The Daily Mail, on December 30, the 28-year-old White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted a series of heartwarming Christmas and New Year's Eve family photos on social media. As the "public face" of the Trump administration, Leavitt not only showcased the festive magic inside the White House but also rarely made her private life with her 32-year-older husband and young son public, sparking heated discussions among the public.
In the first photo shared by Leavitt, she and her 60-year-old husband Nicolas Rios snuggled up in front of the White House’s magnificent Christmas decorations. Rios was dressed in a navy blue suit and wore a bright smile. The couple has long been caught in the whirlwind of public opinion due to their 32-year age gap. Leavitt previously openly admitted that theirs is "a very atypical love story," adding that the two first crossed paths when she ran for Congress in 2022.
Other photos show her collaborating with President Donald Trump, with the pair seemingly looking over a document together.
Beyond the family photos, the snaps also captured working moments between Leavitt and President Trump. The images showed the two studying documents side by side and watching Fox News’ live coverage of the president’s speech, highlighting the close bond between the young spokesperson and the core of power.
For Leavitt, 2026 is set to be an extraordinary year. She announced last week that she is expecting her second child, a baby girl, with a due date in May 2026. Leavitt wrote emotionally, "This is the greatest gift we could ever ask for, and I truly believe motherhood is the closest thing to heaven on earth."
Leavitt even gave fans a glimpse of her son Nico’s first encounter with Santa Claus.
Leavitt also extended a special thank-you to President Trump and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, praising them for jointly fostering a White House work environment that "supports families." In one of the photos, her one-year-old son Nico burst into tears during his first meeting with Santa Claus—a charming moment that led many fans to comment that she is "so down-to-earth."
