I headed down to southern Shanxi at the end of August
Spent four days each in Yuncheng and Linfen
And honestly, as someone with a total carb obsession
Who’s also a southerner through and through, I was absolutely overwhelmed by all the food
Like, my mind was totally blown—couldn’t even think straight! Ahhh!

Watermelons for ¥0.8 a jin, a bowl of noodles for ¥8, flatbreads for ¥1.5
