Not much is known about 007 First Light, but that is about to change with the PlayStation September State of Play. This special September edition will feature 30 minutes of IO Interactive’s bold new take on the iconic James Bond franchise. 007 First Light State of Play

The 007 First Light State of Play is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The State of Play can be viewed on the PlayStation Youtube channel or here using the embedded video below.

Originally announced in 2020, 007 First Light was simply known as Project 007. Since then, very little has been revealed about the game, other than an announcement trailer released just a couple of months ago in June 2025. Based on the trailer, it looks like the game is taking the fabled franchise in an exciting new direction, with IO Interactive tapping into its Hitman roots.
