When I first started doing SEO, I was also confused and felt like I was wandering in a maze. But later I realized that SEO is not that mysterious, the key is to stick to the+method. As long as you are willing to spend some time every day and optimize step by step, the results will really gradually show. In the past six months, I have transformed from a novice to an experienced SEO player. Here are some of my practical experiences, hoping to give you some inspiration!
1. Update old content to maintain relevance on SERP
Firstly, start with the existing content and search out and optimize those old articles. By adding relevant internal links, adding ranking keywords and related content, optimizing titles and descriptions, ensure that they remain competitive on search engine result pages (SERPs). This trick is particularly effective, as many old content has regained vitality and rankings have also skyrocketed.
2. Conduct daily keyword research and explore long tail keywords
I have developed a habit of conducting keyword research every day, especially digging for long tail keywords. Although these words have a small search volume, they have low competition and high conversion rates.
3. Keep a close eye on competitors and obtain new ideas
I often check the content of competitors and use SEMrush data analysis tool to analyze keyword differences, see what they are writing and how they are writing. Sometimes, one of their topics can inspire me and make me think of a better perspective. Then I will replicate the process and create higher quality articles.
4. Content promotion, actively acquiring external links
Writing good content alone is not enough. I also take the initiative to promote the content. Strive for more external links through email marketing, forum posting, social media sharing, and other methods. With more external links, the authority of the website has also increased, and the ranking naturally goes up.
5. Optimize website speed and enhance user experience
I found that website loading speed has a significant impact on SEO, so I spent time optimizing images and even changing website templates, which reduced bounce rates and made search engines like my website more.
6. Improve product and service quality, enhance user experience and repurchase rate
In addition to content and external links, I also pay special attention to the quality of products and services. Every product of mine is personally packaged and shipped by myself to ensure that there are no defects, and I patiently connect with every customer, actively reply to messages and comments. When the product and service are good, the user experience is good, and the repurchase rate naturally increases. These signals will be captured by search engines, further promoting website rankings. After all, the ultimate goal of SEO is to provide value to users, and only by truly solving their problems can we win their trust and support.
7. Regularly analyze data and adjust strategies
I check data analysis every week to see which keywords perform well and which pages need improvement. Monitor traffic, click through rates, conversion rates, and other indicators through tools, adjust optimization strategies in a timely manner, and ensure that every step is in the right direction.
In the past six months, I have been like fighting a "protracted battle" of SEO, with new challenges every day, but also new gains every day. If you are also doing SEO, don't worry, take it slow, persistence is victory!
