Hi hi! I’ve noticed that whenever I post about Brussels sprouts (my personal favorite vegetable), lots of Chinese friends say they’ve never them or don’t know how to cook them when they do see them. Here’s how I like to cook them! Start by washing the sprouts and then letting them dry very very well. Then, cut off the bottom part and cut the sprout in half. Discard this bottom portion as well as any tough outer leaves that fall off after cutting. Put the cut sprouts in a bowl and toss them well with more oil than you think you need (it takes quite a bit!) as well as whatever seasoning you like (this seasoning blend has salt, pepper, garlic, and onion) Then, lay them flat on a baking tray, cut side down. Roast then in an oven preheated to 220°C for ten minutes, then take them out, toss them, and then put them back in the oven for another ten minutes. For friends with no oven, try steaming them and then sauteeing in butter!
