On September 8th, it was reported that Apple's 2025 autumn new product launch event is approaching. According to South Korean media The Elec, industry insiders estimate that Apple is expected to produce 100 million iPhone 17 series phones this year.
Industry insiders say that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have the most features and advantages, and is expected to focus on production. According to forecasts, the production ranking of various iPhone 17 models is as follows:
First place: iPhone 17 Pro Max
Second place: iPhone 17 Pro
Third place: iPhone 17 Standard Edition
Fourth place: iPhone 17 Air
Industry insiders say that this year Apple has transferred the production capacity of iPhone 17 Pro screen panels to BOE, and the remaining models' screen panels will continue to be produced by Samsung and LG. However, the source did not disclose the specific allocation ratio between Chinese and Indian factories.
Sources also revealed that Samsung will be responsible for producing OLED panels for the entire iPhone 17 series, while LG will be responsible for producing three models other than the Pro. All models come standard with LTPO (Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) technology, which was previously only available in the Pro and Pro Max versions of the iPhone 16 series.
At the same time, in order to reduce costs, Apple has mandated that supply chain manufacturers focus on automated production, reduce dependence on labor, and stabilize product quality and consistency across different factories, covering products such as iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
