Family, another heart wrenching incident has drawn attention! On September 8th, Qinnan Branch of Qinzhou Public Security Bureau in Guangxi issued a police report regarding the suspected use of disabled persons for illegal work in brick factories.
According to the report, at 18:52 on September 7th, the public reported to the police that the Guixiang Brick Factory of Qinglong Village Committee in Dafanpo Town, Qinnan District, Qinzhou City was illegally using disabled people for work. After receiving the alarm, the police quickly responded and found 5 suspected disabled individuals at the scene. They also lawfully controlled the relevant personnel in charge of the factory, and the case is currently under further investigation.
This incident originated from a report by a civilian anti trafficking volunteer, Shangguan Zhengyi. On the evening of the 7th, he posted on the internet exposing the poor situation in the brick factory, stating that a foreman had been controlling five mentally disabled people to work as laborers for five years, not only without wages, but also with sick people thrown on the highway. Shangguan Zhengyi stated that he discovered the "abnormality" of workers in Wang's works while browsing short videos. After contacting Wang, he learned about the situation in the brick factory by introducing "fools" to work in the factory. After reporting to the police, Wang evacuated 5 suspected disabled individuals. Fortunately, all 5 workers were found and placed in hotels. The police are also working hard to track down the fleeing foreman.
According to Tianyancha information, Guixiang Shale Brick Factory was established in 2009 in Dafanpo Town, Qinnan District, Qinzhou. It has three shareholders, Lin Mouyan, Han Mouqiu, and Lin Mouguan, and each of them has another brick factory in operation. This raises concerns, are there any other similar situations that exist?
Previously, Shangguan Zhengyi had publicly reported multiple incidents of brick factories using disabled individuals for physical labor. For example, the brick factory reported on June 4th in Linxiang City, Yueyang, Hunan Province, and the Anping brick factory reported on June 18th in Yuanfang Township, Xiangfu District, Kaifeng City, Henan Province, have both attracted widespread attention from society, and local police have quickly intervened to investigate.
I sincerely hope that this case can be thoroughly investigated to provide justice to these suspected disabled individuals and to give the public an explanation! I will continue to monitor and share with everyone the follow-up situation.
