Xaku - Xaku is a great option because Xata's Whisper adds an additional damage instance to weapons; it doesn't multiply their damage. This means it will perform better against the inherent damage reduction that the Hemocyte has. Another great idea is to just use the Helminth to add Xata's Whisper to your Warframe of choice, if you have Xaku subsumed.

Mag - Mag is a great option because she can cast Magnetize on the Hemocyte, dragging any shots fired at it to the head, and doing additional  damage.

Revenant and Rhino - If you are struggling to live, these are default tanks that will keep you in just about any fight. Rhino's Stomp can also be useful to freeze the Hemocyte, but if you do it when the heads are closed, you will be waiting a while for them to start moving again. Rhino also has Roar, which acts as a solid damage buff; even if it's not entirely effective here, it does apply to the entire squad if they are in range.

Nova - Nova is a popular option for the overall event as she can speed up certain parts of it, like the drone section, and her Molecular Prime can be used to slow the Hemocyte, extending the damage windows.

Volt - Volt is a similarly popular option for hardcore farmers, as he can just make things quicker. You can also run the Shocktrooper mod, allowing you to add an instance of Electricity damage to your weapons.

Cyte-09 - While Cyte-09's high damage output Sniper doesn't pay off here, his Resupply ability can give anyone in the squad Heat damage.

Equip with Shattering Impact to rip away armor, then launch heavy attacks into the body of the Hemocyte. You should also be equipped with Melee Duplicate if you have it, and build some critical chance just to get some additional damage instances rolling.

Sarpha - The same as Vastilok, just less effective at it.

Felarx - This Incarnon weapon is a good option, but you do need to score some headshots to activate Incarnon mode, and that's not something you can do against the Hemocyte itself, so farm the Grineer in the earlier stages for them.

Pyrana Prime - This has been the meta weapon for a while, and I can't think of any reason why it won't be this time, either. Once again, mod for Slash, Heat, and rate of fire.

Boar - A high pellet shotgun that was pretty meta in previous years.
