Yushu Technology's Wang Xingxing: Robots can do a lot of work within 10 years
Wang Xingxing, CEO of Yushu Technology, predicts that robot technology can quickly make significant breakthroughs and work on a large scale in less than 10 years.
Wang Xingxing, founder of Yushu Technology, the most popular robotics startup in China, said that the goal of developing robots is for them to truly work, but more technological breakthroughs are needed. If it's fast, it will take two to three years, and if it's slow, it won't exceed ten years.
Wang Xingxing stated on Saturday (August 9th) during the 2025 World Robot Conference that Yushu Technology's goal is still to enable robots to truly "work", liberate and improve productivity.
At present, Yushu chooses to let robots perform in forms such as fighting and dancing. On the one hand, such performances are more popular among the public. On the other hand, besides some fixed processes in automated equipment or factories, "it is not very realistic to let intelligent robots work at present", which cannot be considered as "embodied intelligence" in a certain sense.
But he also pointed out that in the future, when robots can really do a lot of work, "the country can completely tell companies that every robot leaving the factory will have to be taxed
Wang Xingxing pointed out that in order to make robots work like humans, more technological breakthroughs are needed. When asked how long it will take to achieve it, he said that if it's fast, there may be significant progress within two to three years, if it's slow, it may take three to five years, but most likely it won't exceed 10 years.
Wang Xingxing pointed out that the biggest challenge for humanoid robots at present is still at the model level, and they have not yet reached a critical point similar to ChatGPT. He believes that the top priority at present is to make the model of robot AI (artificial intelligence) well developed, so that the model itself has sufficient universality.
Yushu Technology's humanoid robot performed a dance at the China 2025 Spring Festival Gala, making the company famous. But in the April robot half marathon race, before the Yushu robot had even set off, it suddenly collapsed to the ground, triggering a series of doubts about the limited performance and practical application scenarios of the company's robots.

In Saturday's press conference, Wang Xingxing also stated that the company is also promoting some standardized listing processes.
