What does your impression of Harley look like?
When many people look at vintage motorcycles, especially cruise cars, they immediately think of Harley Davidson. Almost everyone's impression of Harley Davidson is the "dong dong dong" of air-cooled top pole engines, which is the obsession of some Harley brothers and the classic symbol of Harley in almost everyone's mind.
A few days ago, I tried Harley's new Nightster and would like to briefly share my feelings. Let me clarify: I am the type of player who has a strong attachment to the old school Harley. In my understanding of Harley, the air cooling, thumping sound, and heavy mechanical feel are the "thunder". But after trying Nightster this time, it felt like a Harley trying to "please the new era" - with surprises and subtle surprises.
Take a glance at Harley, take a closer look... Hmm?
My first impression standing in front of the car is that it is indeed a Harley. The lines, fuel tank proportions, and posture all carry the muscular feel of the Harley family, which is "a bit hard and a bit handsome".
But upon closer inspection, there is a feeling of "how to say it" - the 60 ° water-cooled V-Twin, chain machine, and the familiar 45 ° air-cooled top rod machine are completely different species. Although they are both called V-cylinders, the taste is really different. The visual focus of the machine has also changed, losing the "cast iron sculpture" feeling and leaning more towards modern performance orientation.
Without 'dong dong dong', there are more electronic watches
I have to say, I still miss the feeling of slow pace and pounding on my heart. The sound now is more organized and less wild, which may be more friendly to beginners.
On the other hand, the new watch is indeed user-friendly: the gear display, fuel level, and range are all very clear, which is very friendly for new riders who just got on the car. This must be given a good review. Times are changing, Harley has to make some choices.
Lighter and easier to ride, but still has some minor issues
Riding it is really much easier, with much lighter handling than traditional Harley models. Daily commuting and city commuting are also very easy, no longer the feeling of "riding it like exercising arm strength".
Summary: Suitable for beginners, but the riding experience is more modern!
-I think it's more like an entry-level car prepared for new players to enter the pit. Easy to pick up, easy to ride, with all the necessary information, and the sound won't be scary
-But if you're the kind of old school fan who thinks' Harley should thump, wind cool, and shake your butt ', Nightster may make you feel a bit' too modern '.
-Of course, every Harley Knight has a different dream in their heart. What I'm saying is my feelings. Welcome to the comment section to discuss together - have you ridden it? What do you think of the "evolutionary line" of the new Harley?
