Don Papa Rum, a rum that has repeatedly won international awards, was founded in 2012 by former executive Stephen Carroll on the island of Negros in the Philippines. The name is derived from paying tribute to the anti Japanese revolutionary hero Papa Isio (real name Dionisio Magbuelas) on Negros Island in the late 19th century. In 2023, it was acquired by the liquor giant Diageo and attracted a large number of fans with its sweet and smooth taste and highly recognizable gorgeous bottle body. The author finally bought a 7-year aged Small Batch Rum from SM Supermarket for 1855p.
