Bethesda Studios and Bethesda Softworks recently announced the release of a native version of "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition" for the Nintendo Switch 2 platform. Players who already own the original Switch "Skyrim Anniversary Edition" can upgrade to Switch 2 version for free; If you only hold the basic game, you can purchase the anniversary upgrade package separately.
The Switch 2 version includes the game itself, three major storyline DLCs (Dawn Guardian, Fire, Dragon Clan), and hundreds of content from the Creation Club. In addition, this version has improved in resolution, loading speed, and overall performance.
Equally noteworthy is that Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition will be released on the Switch 2 platform in 2026. This version was launched in early November this year on platforms such as PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, including the game itself, all six expansion packs, and over 150 Creation Club contents.
Recently, the Switch 2 platform has welcomed multiple large-scale works, including Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Shadow and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, which has simultaneously landed on the original Switch and Switch 2. The addition of 'Sky Anniversary Edition' further enriches the game lineup of the platform.
