According to foreign media reports, Eidos Montreal, the developer of Tomb Raider: Shadows, is currently focusing resources on a 3A level project with the internal code name "P11" after years of personnel adjustments and project restructuring.
According to whistleblower Tom Henderson, the game is an open world action adventure game expected to be officially released in 2026. Since its launch in 2019, development has lasted for over six years, during which it has undergone multiple directional adjustments.
At present, the project has entered the final development stage, and the system design and core content framework are basically formed. The team is preparing for the upcoming beta testing. As the development process entered the later stage, the studio also adjusted the team size accordingly to meet the current development needs.
In recent years, Eidos Montreal has experienced multiple layoffs and project adjustments, including the suspension of the development of a new game called "Breaking Out". Nevertheless, the studio continues to invest resources and is committed to creating high-quality gaming projects.
