This is a regular Facebook personal account. Let’s open the personal profile, as shown in the image.

Now here’s the question: Have I really discovered something new? No, no, no. When you go to Ads Manager and try to actually launch ads, you’ll find there’s no available page. Why is that? Because the method mentioned above enables ad features on your personal profile by switching it to professional mode—but it’s still a personal profile for a social account. However, Ads Manager requires the use of a full-featured public page.

Since it can’t access the full features of Ads Manager, what’s the point of this discovery? It all depends on your goals. This simplified ad launch process is helpful for many tasks—like boosting engagement, getting likes, and taking it a step further: Can you use this method to nurture your account and increase its authority?
The feature is here. How to use it, and whether you can use it well, all comes down to your own vision and perspective.

I've been using Facebook for years, and from my experience, running ads without a page on a personal account is a bit of a shot in the dark. Sure, you can boost a post, but the lack of a proper business - oriented page means you miss out on crucial features. There's no easy way to showcase your business info, past customer reviews, or a comprehensive product catalog. It just doesn't look professional, and as a result, I doubt the ad will convert well. I once tried promoting my handmade jewelry this way, and the response was abysmal compared to when I set up a business page later.

In my opinion, it's possible to run some basic ads with a personal account sans a page, but it comes with so many limitations. For example, the targeting options are extremely limited. You can't segment your audience as precisely as you can with a business page. I was trying to promote a local event to a specific age group and demographic in my area, and without a page, I could only do a very broad targeting. It was like throwing a net in the ocean and hoping to catch the right fish. If you're serious about effective advertising, a page is essential.

I actually had a positive experience running ads from my personal account without a page. I'm a freelancer, and I wanted to reach out to potential clients in my niche. I used Facebook's "Boost Post" feature on a detailed post about my services. Since my personal account had a good number of connections within my industry, the ad did get some traction. It wasn't a huge success in terms of generating a flood of new clients, but it did lead to a few interesting conversations and eventually some small projects. So, for micro - level promotions, it can work.

Technically, you can use ad manager via a personal account, but it lacks advanced features pages offer.
