The feature called Pixelsnap is a magnetic wireless technology built into the phones via Qi2 certification, making it also compatible with Apple’s MagSafe accessories. The Pixelsnap charger itself easily snaps into place magnetically on the back of Pixel 10 handsets to begin charging.

Google has made an array of Qi2-enabled accessories, including the Pixelsnap Charger with Stand, which allows for simple and aesthetic docking placement of all the Pixel 10 models, even the 10 Pro Fold. The Pixelsnap Ring Stand serves as an on-the-go kick stand that can prop up a handset for easy viewing. The Pixelsnap Cases are wireless charging compatible, allowing you to charge with the Pixelsnap or any of the charging accessories with the case still on. The Pixelsnap Cases come in color options that match the schemes of their device models. The Pixel 10 and 10 Pro cases are available in Moonstone, Jade, Obsidian, Porcelain, Indigo, Frost, and Lemongrass. The Pixel 10 Pro XL cases are available in Moonstone, Jade, Obsidian, and Porcelain. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold cases are available in Moonstone, Jade, and Obsidian.

The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) notably announced in July that it had achieved the new Qi2 25W standard, which it said was nearly 70% more powerful than the previous standard Qi2 15W. The Pixel 10 Pro XL supports the Qi2 25W charging, while the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold support 15W charging.

The Pixel 10 Pro XL appears to be just one of fourteen devices, receivers, and transmitters that were certified under the new Qi2 25W standard in July, with more to come, so consumers should expect similar Qi2 compatibility announcements to come for other Android devices. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold join the over 1.5 billion devices, transmitters, and receivers that have been certified under the Qi2 15W standard since it was introduced in November 2023.
