Recently, Amazon has experienced a series of platform failures, with at least four major technical issues occurring on the platform between October 20th and November 9th.
1、 AWS Global Downtime on October 20th
The seller encounters backend login failure, white screen on the page, and frequent internal error prompts, making it impossible for the seller to adjust advertising bidding, view real-time data, or pause advertising activities; The internal application of FBA warehouse is unable to scan packages due to AWS downtime, resulting in the seller's backend displaying "zero inventory quantity" or "unknown shipment status".
2、 On October 31st, the seller platform reported a large-scale error
The inventory editing pages of Amazon US, Europe and other sites have encountered an error message of "unit count type", which prevents sellers from modifying prices and adjusting product information. Some compliant listings have been forcibly removed.
3、 On November 5th, the billing system crashed
American users encounter issues such as "payment card verification failure" and "order submission timeout" during settlement, and some sellers have lost orders and failed advertising due to user payment failures.
4、 On November 7th, the backend system crashed again
There are issues with the account status page not loading, abnormal display of store health indicators, and incorrect triggering of account deactivation risk alerts in the backend. Some sellers have reported that their accounts have been marked as "high-risk" without any violation records, resulting in the suspension of advertising campaigns and FBA inventory lockdowns.
Is the frequent occurrence of malfunctions related to Amazon's layoffs, which hit the main artery of internal employees?
