A great work, Mr Li! I was one that had to go to countryside to be a young farmer. I was 4th grade when Mao started that Revolution, school closed and I had no formal education, did nothing until the time to go. Had no choice but went for 4yrs until Mao died. Then I became a labor and returned to the city. In 1978, I passed college entrance exams and became a college student--thank my parents giving me a good brain!
A few yrs after college I happily came to USA, attending a grad school on fellowship. I chose to stay in America after grad school. Now An American citizen for over 25 yrs, I'm lucky and happy. Anytime when I thought about that period of my life, nothing but tears!
