Google GSC (Google Search Console) is an SEO "health check center" that can easily understand your website data in four steps:

First log in and verify using domain level DNS once, which can cover all subdomains and protocols and is valid for life.

Click on "Effects" in the left menu of the "Effects" report, and by default, the four core indicators for the past three months will appear: total clicks, total exposure, average click through rate, and average ranking.

Click on the "Search" tab to see the keywords that actually bring traffic and their corresponding clicks/exposures. Quickly identify words that are "ranked second, have high exposure but low clicks" and prioritize optimizing title descriptions.

Click on the "Page" tab, find the URL with a sudden drop in CTR or ranking, compare the two time periods, and locate the source of the traffic decline.

Search "Index" → "Web Page". The green bar displays the number of indexed pages, and the reasons for "not indexed" are listed below: 404, redirect noindex、 Blocked by robots, etc. Clicking on each category can export up to 1000 problem URLs. After fixing them, click on "Verify" to speed up the re crawling process.

Use the "URL Check" tool to paste a single URL into the search box at the top, and immediately see whether it has been indexed, the last crawl time, mobile availability, and whether there are any abnormalities in structured data. New content can be indexed by clicking 'Request to be indexed' and is often re crawled within 10 minutes.

The 'Link' report allows you to view the distribution of external and internal links, find the page with the highest weight, direct the internal links to the new product page, and pass on the weight.

The "Experience" report synchronizes with Core Web Vitals. LCP>2.5s will be highlighted in red. Follow the prompts to compress images and streamline code.

All data supports date filtering and CSV export, with a maximum retention period of 16 months, making it convenient for users to create monthly trend tables.

Remember the mnemonic: "Effect" looks at traffic, "Index" looks at indexing, "URL check" looks at page diagnosis, and "Link" looks at weight.
